Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") cover your use of SkillBridge and the romanroads.com website (together, the "Service"), which are operated by Roman Roads ("we," "us," or "our"). We have kept them as readable as we can, but they are still the agreement between us. By using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What SkillBridge is

SkillBridge is a multi-tenant, white-label platform for connecting skilled people with work that needs doing. Each client organization runs its own bookings, scheduling, worker roster, deliverables, and payouts under its own branding, and it can connect to Google Calendar so that availability stays accurate.

2. Your account

You need an account to use SkillBridge. You are responsible for the information you give us, for everything that happens under your account, and for keeping your login details private. Please keep your information accurate and up to date, and tell us if you think someone else has your login.

3. Acceptable use

Please do not misuse the Service. That means no attempting to break in or bypass security, no interfering with how it runs, no scraping or copying it wholesale, and no using it to break the law or to violate someone else's rights. We may limit or suspend access if that happens.

4. Your content and your data

The information you put into the Service stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so that we can provide the Service to you. How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

5. Connecting other services

If you connect a service such as Google Calendar, that provider's own terms and privacy policy also apply to your use of it. What we do with the data we receive through those connections is explained in our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect a connected service at any time.

6. Billing

Paid plans and paid features are billed at the price and on the schedule shown when you sign up. Payments are processed by Stripe. Unless the law says otherwise, fees are not refundable, and charges already billed stay payable. If we change our prices, we will tell you before the change applies to you. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.

7. Intellectual property

The Service itself, meaning the software, the design, and the content we supply, belongs to Roman Roads and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it under these Terms. That right ends when your access ends.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

We work hard to keep the Service reliable, but we have to be straight with you. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error free, or that scheduling data pulled from third-party calendars will always be complete or current.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roman Roads will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are broken, or if we need to in order to protect the Service or the people using it. When access ends, the sections that by their nature should survive, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, continue to apply.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we change something that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where it makes sense, tell you inside the app. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, that counts as accepting it.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
